Questions & Answers
- What is a self-guided tour?
A self-guided tour allows you to explore Utah Valley University at your own pace using a provided tour packet. This packet includes a campus map, key points of interest, and details about our programs and facilities.
- How do I get a self-guided tour packet?
You can pick up a self-guided tour packet at the UVU Welcome Center Front Desk (WB 128) during office hours (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.). If you would like a digital version in advance, please email Makayla.mitchell@uvu.edu.
- What will I see on a self-guided tour?
The self-guided tour covers main campus highlights, including academic buildings, student life areas, the library, and dining options. It does not include satellite buildings or off-campus locations.
- Where do I park? Will I still get parking validation for a self-guided tour?
Please refer to your confirmation email for parking instructions. We encourage you to park in our admissions pay lots in the passport parking stalls, which can be found at this location or this location.
You can also search "Admissions Meter Lot" on Apple Maps or "B" on Google Maps.
Upon check-in, please provide your license plate number, make, and model, and we will validate your parking.
Yes! If you check in at the Welcome Center before starting your tour, we can validate your parking for up to two hours.
- Can I bring guests on my self-guided tour?
Absolutely! You are welcome to bring friends and family to explore UVU with you.
- Are there any guided elements available during a self-guided tour?
While you won’t have a tour guide, our ambassadors and staff at the Welcome Center are happy to answer any questions before or after your tour.
- How long does a self-guided tour take?
Most visitors take about an hour to complete the tour, but you are welcome to explore for as long as you’d like.
- Are self-guided tours available on weekends?
Yes! Since the self-guided tour is independent, you can visit campus anytime. However, the Welcome Center is only open Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., so if you need a tour packet outside of those hours, please pick one up in advance.
